It is reported that actor Yash is upset with the makers of Dhurandhar 2 for failing to keep him informed about the film's release date. The date was only revealed in the first week of December 2025, by which time Toxic had already locked in March 19, 2026.
Yash reportedly expected actor Ranveer Singh and his producers to notify the Toxic team of the potential clash much earlier. Given that South Indian cinema producers typically follow the professional courtesy of keeping one another informed of their scheduling moves, Yash expected the makers of Dhurandhar to uphold the same standard.
Many, however, disagree with Yash. "Dunki was announced a year before. Salaar got postponed to Christmas in a late development. Neither Shah Rukh Khan nor Rajkumar Hirani cried about it. Then why is Yash whining if Dhurandhar 2 is announced for Eid? A Hindi film can release on any date in the Hindi belt. Why would makers call someone in Karnataka before announcing a date? The makers of Dhurandhar 2 don't see Toxic as a competitor," S. wrote on X.
