Couple Friendly, starring Santosh Shoban and Manasa Varanasi, is going strong. Since its theatrical debut last Saturday (Valentine's Day was the right occasion for this film based on goodbyes and memories), the romantic drama has struck a chord with audiences, earning "super-hit" status through strong word-of-mouth.
The UV Concepts offering has collected Rs 3.96 crore gross worldwide within just its first two days of release. This strong start was held up on Day 2, which was a Sunday. Its Monday test has now begun.
"The houseful boards we are seeing at the cinemas is a dream come true. Honest films are always liked. After tasting this success, I have started to feel more responsible. Once Dheeraj Mogilineni joined us, the energy was doubled. He is such a passionate distributor. His love for cinema is inspiring," Santosh said at an event on Sunday. Directed by Ashwin Chandrasekhar, Couple Friendly co-stars Goparaju Ramana, Rajeev Kanakala and Yogi Babu.
