Recently, two video clips concerning Allu Arjun's alleged offscreen behaviour surfaced online. The interviewee in the first viral clip claims that a superstar from southern India doesn't let anyone (barring top-ranking ones like the director) raise their heads in his presence on set. The interviewer, at this, imitates Allu Arjun's Pushpa mannerism. In the second clip, the interviewee, a brand manager from Mumbai, claims that she and her team were given a long list of rules that asked them, among many other regulations, not to maintain eye contact with the actor during their interaction. Allu Arjun's team has since started considering defamation proceedings.
The whole issue has raised certain doubts. Is there a systematic plan afoot to besmirch the image of the Pushpa actor? His detractors/cynics among the ordinary masses believe that he has always been arrogant and that he acts pricey. Even his walking style during the Pushpa 2 events has been shown as 'proof' that he is so full of himself. His 'AA' branding has been used against him. When Allu Arjun was arrested by the Hyderabad police in December 2024 in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, a common refrain on the ground was this: "CM Revanth Reddy has done the right thing. Allu Arjun's pride has to be tamed." One can understand how hate is smartly whipped up against some actors by trolls. This is a years-long process. Everything from suspected political affiliations to personal choices are used against some actors.
There is absolutely nothing to suggest that Bunny is narcissistic. The kind of rules he allegedly enforces on the sets of his movies are impossible in an industry. If they were true, by now, the sheer amount of gossip around such a culture would have blown up like anything. In the age of YouTube, nothing stays within 500 mts.
