Ravi Teja's Irumudi: Netizens predict story

Ravi Teja’s upcoming film, Irumudi, features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the hero's wife. Directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film features devotional elements. "Stepping into Kaveri’s world has been nothing short of special. Grateful to be part of a story that feels honest, powerful, and close to my heart," Priya wrote on X, sharing the latest poster featuring her with Ravi Teja.

The title Irumudi refers to the sacred bag (the Irumudi Kettu) carried by devotees of Lord Ayyappa during their pilgrimage to the Sabarimala Temple. In the first poster released recently, the hero was seen as a family man, carrying his onscreen daughter to a temple. While that poster was interesting, the latest one, which has him lovingly kissing his onscreen wife, has sparked concerns that the film is going to be predictable and low-effort.

A netizen predicts that Priya's Kaveri dies halfway into the story (either in the flashback or around the interval). "Days before her death, she tries to persuade her atheistic husband to take on Ayyappa Deeksha. Since he is not religious, he refuses to see her point. In a sudden tragedy that befalls him, he loses his wife. Following this, he undertakes the Deeksha with the daughter," a Reddit user writes.

It's likely that Shiva Nirvana has written a strong storyline. When you are making a movie with Ravi Teja, you can't complete it without an action block. Just the father-daughter bond won't cut it with the Telugu audience. It's another matter that no action block in a Shiva Nirvana movie has ever been memorable.
