Kona Venkat is bringing back the pair of Court - State Vs. A Nobody for a movie titled Band Melam, bankrolled by his Kona Film Corporation. Producers Kavya and Shravya have united with director Satish Javvaji for this romantic drama. Harsh Roshan and Sridevi play estranged lovers in this March 13th release.

Speaking at the film's Glimpse event today, the team hinted at a heart-touching drama. In the video, we see the male lead crying out in utter despair over his childhood sweetheart walking out of his life. Sensationally, he ties a 'mangalsutra' on his best buddy.

Waltair Veerayya director Bobby Kolli is the one who advised the makers that the glimpse of ‘Band Melam’ should be released on Valentine’s Day. Harsh Roshan, he predicted, will become a big star thanks to his effortless and cool acting talent. The Daaku Maharaaj maker revealed that director Sukumar wants him to turn his own love story into a reel-life story. "If ever I make that film, I will cast Roshan as the male lead. Sridevi has a great following on social media. She has performed wonderfully in this film. I wish for her to continue progressing like this. Director Satish Javvaji may seem quiet when you look at him, but he delivers sharp satire. This film will definitely be a blockbuster. After this movie, I am worried we might start seeing thaali (mangalsutra) around men’s necks too! If Kona garu earns money, it’s as good as us earning money. He was as confident now as he was during the time of ‘Ninnu Kori’. This movie will create a huge impact,” Bobby added.

Producer Kona Venkat said that Band Melam will be released by the best distributors in the industry in each territory. "I am not a regular producer. I make a film only if the story is heart-touching. Good filmmakers create opportunities for many talents. I told Satish that I would make the film only if the Court pair two agreed to headline it. Music director Vijay Bulganin, cinematographer Satish Muthyala, and the rest of the team were finalized only after they were onboarded," Kona revealed. He thanked director Trivikram Srinivas for unveiling the glimpse. "In my life, BVS Ravi and Bobby are very important. Band Melam will remain a film to be remembered for a lifetime. Bobby was shocked after watching the glimpse and praised Roshan, saying he would become another Nani," Kona added.

Harsh Roshan predicted that the very name 'Band Melam' will remain etched in the minds of everyone after the movie. "My thanks to Kona Venkat garu for standing by us and guiding us. Thanks to Bobby garu and BVS Ravi garu for coming to support us. Thanks to Trivikram garu for launching our glimpse," the young actor added.

Actress Sridevi said that just as she is remembered as Jabili after Court, she will be remembered as Rajamma after Band Melam. "Through my role in this movie, I will make the audience laugh and cry," she said, adding that the story of the film is "wonderful".

Director Satish Javvaji thanked Kona Venkat for giving his career a new lease of life. "I wrote every scene with deep emotion, and I directed each scene with the same emotion. With the performances of Roshan and Sridevi, those emotions became even more powerful. Vijay Bulganin has given a wonderful album for this film. All the songs have come out beautifully," he added.

Writer BVS Ravi praised the lead performances, further urging the audience to watch Band Melam in theatres on March 13. He suggested that the film is much better than what was narrated to him.

Composer Vijai Bulganin said, “I thank Kona garu for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to work on such a good film. I really enjoyed the music sittings with him and the director."

Band Melam will head to theatres on March 13.
