Akkineni Nagarjuna has reunited with director Kalyan Krishna for the third movie in the Bangarraju series. This is believed to be a sequel or continuation in the Bangarraju franchise. Starting with the 2016 blockbuster Soggade Chinni Nayana, followed by the 2022 hit Bangarraju, the series has survived the pan-India trend and the director's weak form.
"If the 'Soggallu' (the ultimate charmers) arrive for this coming Sankranti on January 15th, 2027, the festival will be even more colorful. Mark the date!" Annapurna Studios wrote on X, making sure to use the catchphrase 'Vasivadi Thassadiyya'.
This is the first Sankranthi 2027 outing to lock its release date.
Before its release, Nag will be seen in an action-packed family drama directed by Ra Karthik. Rumouredly titled Lottery King, this one will hit the cinemas in the second half of 2026.
