The Telugu audience are actually tired of watching larger-than-life action movies. Their urge to watch clean family entertainers is immense. Sankranthiki Vasthunam kinda movies have become extremely rare.
In the coming one year or so, some family-friendly movies hold a lot of promise.
1. Mega157: Megastar Chiranjeevi's 157th movie is going to be a family-friendly movie. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, this one stars Nayanthara as the heroine.
2. Venkatesh-Trivikram movie: This one is yet to commence its shoot. But expectations from movie buffs are already high. Trivikram's humorous writing and trademark characterizations are expected to be a big draw.
3. Naveen Polishetty's upcoming movie is titled Anaganaga Oka Raju. The film is currently in production and is scheduled for a worldwide release on January 14, 2026. The movie is described as a comedy entertainer and will also star Meenakshi Chaudhary.
4. Suriya-Venky Atluri movie: This one is produced by Sithara Entertainments and went on the floors recently. To be released in April or May 2026, the film is admittedly a family drama.
5. Other movies: The Raja Saab and movies like Telusu Kada might be seen as family audience-centric.
