In September, producer S Naga Vamsi announced a 3D animated movie titled Vayuputra under the direction of Chandoo Mondeti of Karthikeya 2 fame. The pan-Indian project will feature an animation aesthetic different from what was seen in Mahavatar Narsimha. The Japanese brand of animation will be touched upon.
The director has been a staunch devotee of Lord Hanuman. He wants to portray Hanuman as a mass hero in Vayuputra. "He will be the kind of a mass hero we have seen in movies like Salaar," producer S Naga Vamsi said. That's an interesting idea.
The title poster of Vayuputra, released recently, hinted at grandeur without compromising on its divine quality. For Sankranthi 2026, a glimpse video will be out. The makers certainly have a strategy; they have set their sights on Dasara 2026.
