Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead, is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and features Satyadev, Bhagyashree Borse, and Venkitesh VP in key roles. In the first weekend, it grossed Rs 82 Cr.
"In four days, our movie made Rs 82 Cr at the box office," Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas said.
The film, a period dramatic spy thriller with a lead to Kingdom 2, is on its way to join the Rs 100 Cr club.
Producers Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya have worked with Anirudh Ravichander and several others.
Kingdom was conceived for drama. "Gowtam Tinnanuri is not the kind of director who writes scenes for heroic elevations. He aims to maximize the emotions more than anything else," Vijay Deverakonda recently said.
