A sequel to Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya was rumoured to be in the scripting stage last year. As things stand, no such project is on the cards.
On Saturday, Swadharm Entertainment denounced the speculation that a sequel to the detective comedy is very much on. The banner stated that any official update regarding the sequel will be announced only through official channels or by producer Rahul Yadav Nakka. "We kindly request everyone not to spread or believe any rumours related to the film or the franchise," the makers added.
Director Swaroop RSJ wrote that ASSA is a "collective effort of each and every person involved" in its making. "The production house will make an official announcement about the sequel when the time is right," he added, urging everyone to stop making speculations.
Director Swaroop RSJ awaits the release of Vibe, starring Raja Goutham in the lead. He is also scheduled to direct a film headlined by Siddu Jonnalagadda and produced by S Naga Vamsi. Swadharm Entertainment's 2025 release, Brahma Amandam, was a box-office flop.
