The first-ever interview with the core cast of Varanasi is out on Collider Interviews. Recorded in November last year, it was finally uploaded on February 3. Mahesh Babu participated in it with Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The Malayalam actor outshined the Guntur Kaaram actor when it came to sharing certain specifics. He mentioned that SS Rajamouli never resorts to gimmicky shots. "His shot composition adheres to the classical filmmaking style. I have never seen him opt for gimmicks. The classical style is harder, because you have no escape mechanism," the Salaar actor observed. He also talked about his character's wheelchair (seen in his first look poster), saying that it's an extension of the dangerous personality of Kumbha.
In contrast, Mahesh didn't deliver any takeaways. Even Priyanka Chopra was more alive to the opportunity.
Varanasi will head to theatres on 7 April 2027.
