The hospitality sector has welcomed the Elite Cricket League (ECL) Season 2, which was officially kicked off with a grand jersey launch. The event set the stage for the upcoming tournament scheduled to take place this March in Visakhapatnam. Organized under the aegis of the Chamala Foundation, the ceremony drew a high-profile crowd.

Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy praised the initiative for its alignment with state policy. "Organizing such a league inspired by the government’s prestigious P4 model is highly commendable," Reddy stated. He noted that the government has implemented several developmental programs over the last 18 months, adding, "Uplifting the underprivileged remains our core objective."

The tournament also carries a unique competitive edge this year. Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kondapalli Srinivas announced that a ‘Political Team’ will be joining the fray. "A team of young ministers will participate this season, and I am confident we will emerge as champions," Srinivas remarked. He also lauded the Chamala Foundation for its dedicated efforts toward the welfare of soldiers.

Vasamsetti Subhash (Minister of Labour, Factories, Boilers and Insurance Medical Services) echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the charitable nature of the league. "Promoting sports with such a strong service-oriented vision is truly appreciable," he said. The tournament aims to blend high-energy cricket with a social mission, ensuring that the excitement on the field translates into real-world support for those in uniform.

Chamala Foundation Chairman Chamala Uday Chander Reddy shared the roadmap for the upcoming season, noting that the success of the inaugural season in Hyderabad paved the way for the move to Visakhapatnam. "ECL Season 1 was a grand success. This year, we have six diverse teams including the Andhra Political Kings, Tollywood Thunders, Bullithera Rangers, Media Masters, Shiri Info Missiles, and Police Lions," Reddy explained.

The Chairman further clarified that the impact of the league extends far beyond the final score. "The funds generated through this tournament will be utilized for the welfare of soldiers and the development of the families of our martyrs," he confirmed.

The event concluded with the presence of Foundation Vice Chairman Bhanu Chander Reddy and various directors.
