Male child 'obsession': Family member comes to Chiranjeevi's defence

The other day, Ram Charan's wife Upasana gave birth to twins. A baby boy and a baby girl were born, bringing cheers to the Mega family. Mega fans have welcomed the male child with visible enthusiasm, seeing him as a future star hero. Many have viewed their jubilant reactions as proof that male children are the first preference across the board in Indian society. In the past, Chiranjeevi publicly stated that he had been waiting for Upasana to give birth to a male child. This happened after the birth of Klin Kaara, Upasana-Charan duo's first child. At that time, many questioned, "Is a boy more welcome than a girl even in the Mega family?"

With many implying that Chiranjeevi is promoting regressive attitudes, Lavanya Tripathi has come to his defence. On Tuesday night, she told a scribe that his views are in "extremely poor taste". She further added that turning a "genuinely happy moment into something unpleasant" was not expected. "You clearly don’t know how he treats the women in his family, especially his granddaughters. Very few men can do even 1% of what he does, so it’s best not to comment on people you don’t truly know," the actress wrote on social media, sternly painting a pro-'ammayi' image of Chiranjeevi.
