Maa Vande: Here is why Modi's biopic with Unni Mukundan is aptly titled

Narendra Modi's biopic, to be made on global standards, stars Unni Mukundan in the lead role. Its title, Maa Vande, is not just sentimental but also story-driven.

Director Kranthi Kumar CH is not making the film as a dry political drama. Rather, he is honing it as an emotional human drama where Unni's Modi bonds at a profound level with his mother, Heeraben. The mother-son sentimentality will be something every Indian would be able to relate to, given that mothers hold a pioneering place in Indian society. No wonder that the script's guiding motto is this: A mother's will is greater than countless battles. Maa Vande, seen from this angle, is the most apt title.

The title has another interesting dimension. In the Hindutva nationalist movement, the country is likened to a mother. Vande Mataram is a National Song that the RSS-BJP duo has held closely to their ideology.

A massive technical crew has been assembled for the prestigious biopic. King Solomon of Baahubali, Kalki 2898 AD, RRR and Eega fame will be choreographing the action scenes. Ravi Basrur of KGF and Salaar fame will be composing the BGM. KK Senthilkumar, the cinematographer of Baahubali, RRR and Magadheera fame is on board. Sabu Cyril, the production designer of Enthiran, Baahubali and RRR fame is on board. Silver Cast Creations is producing the movie.
