The Exhibition with the theme " Festive Hues - A Celebration of 130 years of the Ohara School of Ikebana showcased the 30 floral arrangements made by the 27 Ikebana Members of the Hyderabad Chapter by incorporating the various styles of Ohara School of Ikebana, Japan using flowers, foliage and fruits in their Ikebana creations which brings out a close sense of nature’s rendition.

Chief Guest for the event was Sri Jayesh Ranjan IAS and Shri Surendra Mohan IAS, Secretary for Agriculture and Cooperation Department, Government of Telangana , Hyderabad has inaugurated the exhibition and was highly appreciative of the splendid and exquisite usage of various types of flowers in the floral displays.
Talking of the event, President of Ikebana International Hyderabad Chapter # 250 , Hoka Sukanya Reddy stated that The Annual Exhibition is conducted every year on the 6th of January in fond memory of Late Mrs Remani Nambiar, Past President of I.I. Hyderabad Chapter as a tribute to the exceptional services she rendered to the Chapter. Ohara School of Japan is celebrating 130 years since its inception by Unshin Ohara and this years exhibition theme Festive Hues is resonating to that. Over the years, many styles were evolved by various Head Masters like Moribana, Heika, Hanamai, Rimpa, Bunjin, Shohinka, Hanaisho, Hanakanade, etc. to name a few. At the moment, Hiroki Ohara is the 5th Head Master and the school is gaining wide popularity across the globe.
The ardent Ikebana artists diligently practiced the art and are bonded with the floral friends as they truly lived by the Ikebana International motto "Friendship through flowers".
