The other day, the team behind Jatadhara unveiled the first look of actress Shilpa Shirodkar. As Shobha, she will be embodying the vice of greed in the movie. Sudheer Babu plays her philosophical and spiritual antithesis in this pan-Indian release.
Producer Prerna Arora is enamoured of Shilpa's potential award-winning performance in the supernatural thriller. "Shilpa ma'am will definitely bag all the awards out there. That's my bet," Prerna said, adding that Shobha is a "complex role" that is packed with powerful features.
Shilpa Shirodkar is known for acclaimed performances in noted Bollywood movies like Khuda Gawah and Mrityudand. Besides Sonakshi Sinha, she is the other major national talent acting in Jatadhara.
Jatadhara also features Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Divya Khossla, Rajeev Kanakala, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Rohit Pathak, among others. The film is bankrolled by Zee Studios, Prerna Arora and Shivin Narang’s Ess Kay Gee Entertainment. "We want Sudheer Babu’s jungle action scenes to be on a par with Sylvester Stallone in Rambo. I know that is a high benchmark," one of the producers of the movie recently said.
