The first glimpse of Mowgli 2025 is surprisingly interesting. In Colour Photo, director Sandeep Raj dealt with a semi-tragic theme within the mold of a love story. In Mowgli 2025, he seems to be in the vintage Teja territory (read Jayam), only amped up for an adventure-seeking audience segment.
The narrator (Natural Star Nani), curiously, says that the story takes place in an age when technology was not advanced - in the jungle. This might tell us something about the film's conceit. While being a contemporary tale, it acquires period cinema features at once.
While Roshan Kanakala is one-film old, the casting of the independent filmmaker Bandi Saroj Kumar in a negative role is bold. It's refreshing to see a native speaker as the chief antagonist. Sakshi Sagar Mhadolkar, the debutante actress, has got the looks.
With music composed by Kaala Bhairava, the film's cinematography is by Rama Maruthi. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, Mowgli 2025 is yet to lock its release date.
