Ram Charan's movie made Kamalinee Mukherjee stop acting in Telugu

Actress Kamalinee Mukherjee shot to fame with Sekhar Kammula's Anand in 2004 and Godavari in 2006. In her recent interview, she stated that Ram Charan's Govindudu Andarivadele (2014) is why she left the Telugu film industry.

She described the film's shoot as a long but enjoyable process, where she felt part of an extended family due to the large cast and crew. She played the a village belle in the movie. However, towards the end of the shoot, she felt "out of place".

She wasn't comfortable with how her role turned out in the Krishna Vamsi directorial. She felt "hurt" and decided to "step back".

Happy Days, Gamyam, Nagavalli, Jalsa and Shirdi Sai are among Kamalinee's major Telugu films.
