The latest speculation in the town is that Deepika Padukone is doing a sequel to the xXx franchise. A post by Vin Diesel mentioned "Xander's next adventure in Mumbai," which is the key phrase that has fueled the rumors. Deepika Padukone made her Hollywood debut in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, where she co-starred with Vin Diesel.
This comes months after she was removed from Spirit and days after she was sacked from Kalki 2. After the Bollywood superstar missed the two prestigious projects in quick succession, she started focusing entirely on the Allu Arjun-Atlee movie and a Shah Rukh Khan movie, both of which are Indian projects, although the former will be an international release of sorts.
For Deepika Padukone, doing the xXx sequel will be a shot in the arm at a time when she has been asked to exit two movies of Prabhas.
