The Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills, on Wednesday. On the occasion, the CM instructed Telugu film producers not to neglect their demands. Recenty, the Federation went on a long strike pressing demands for higher wages.

The CM also opined that the skilling of these workers has to be underaken. He suggested that the TFI must support the government's schemes under the aegies of a Skill University. Also, the health insurance needs of the workers will be taken care of.

Revanth Reddy reiterated that his government wants to enhance the standards of the Hyderabad-based film industry to Hollywood levels. Dil Raju was present on the occasion.

It is unclear what upskilling the workers will be provided with. The idea might be to prevent the import of non-Telugu talents in instances where there is a skill gap. Skilling programs by governments in India have rarely yielded results. For, these programs are captured by insincere players. After a point, the candidates too don't turn up for classes.
