Kishkindhapuri will be clashing with Mirai on September 12. Earlier, it was presumed that the film would be postponed, considering that Mirai is poised to take the pole position at the box office.
“No postponement. No escape… On September 12th, fear takes over the box office,” wrote Shine Screens today, confirming that Kishkindhapuri will lock horns with Mirai.
While Kishkindhapuri is produced by Sahu Garapati, Mirai is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad. The latter will secure a higher number of screens both domestically and overseas.
For Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, the success of Kishkindhapuri is paramount. If Mirai holds well with a strong 'word of mouth', Kishkindhapuri will find it hard even if it secures an equally strong WOM. That's because Mirai is a superhero movie with larger-than-life elements. Its genre is trendy. Kishkindhapuri is a horror mystery, a fading genre lately.
