It is said that MM Keeravani is a good judge of scripts and stories. Since he is an old-timer, many filmmakers/producers pitched stories to him before taking their films to floors. Almost all the stories he judged as potential flops turned out to be box-office flops.
Keeravani's strong story sense actually altered the way Baahubali: The Conclusion was teased towards the end of Baahubali: The Beginning. In a chit-chat with Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, SS Rajamouli revealed that it was Keeravani who told him to end the first part with the 'Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?' cliff hanger. "When Peddanna gave the suggestion, everyone in the room was super-thrilled," Rajamouli said, suggesting that the suggestion was out of the world.
"When the movie ended with Kattappa saying that it was he who killed Baahubali, nobody in the hall was getting up from their seats. End credits rolled but everyone was still seated. They were stumped by the ending. Only when they clapped did I realize how effectively the climax worked with them," Rana said.
Baahubali: The Epic will hit the cinemas on October 31st.
