'29' is the title of an upcoming movie directed by Rathna Kumar. Produced jointly by Kaarthikeyan S and Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film's title teaser is more than three minutes long and reveals the film's purpose.
The title is not just a number; it denotes the age of the male lead, who is at a crossroads in his life. Unmarried and single, his long pauses and self-reflective body language may hint at the urban loneliness he is going through. Towards the end of the video, we see the female lead sitting next to him in a city bus.
Produced by Stone Bench Studio and G Squad, the film is headlined by Vidhu and Preethi Asrani. Sean Roldan is the music director.
To be released in theatres in 2026, the film also features Master Mahendran, Avinash, Shenaz Fathima, and Premkumar.
This film '29' features Madhesh Manickam as the Director of Photography (DOP) and R S Sathish Kumar as the Editor. The visual and design elements are handled by Shanmugaraja as the Art Director and Praveen Raja as the Costume Designer. The action sequences are choreographed by Don Ashok (Stunts).
