Mythri Movie Makers waited for a full decade to team up with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Ustaad Bhagat Singh (UBS) marked the start of its musical promotions today with the release of the addictive Dekhlenge Saala.
Speaking at the event, producer Naveen Yerneni reminded the audience that his banner's collaborations with Devi Sri Prasad have always been successful. "This is just the start. All future promotional material from UBS will be of this high standard," he assured the fans out there.
Bhaskarabhatla revealed that he wrote the lyrics inspired by Pawan Kalyan's famous political punchline, 'Manalni evadara aapedi?'. Having written Dil Se Dil Se song in Gabbar Singh, he is elated to have got to write this hero-centric song in UBS.
Music director Devi Sri Prasad credited the energy of the song to Harish Shankar's "wonderful context". He further added that 'Dekhlenge Saala' should be one's attitude when life throws challenges at us. He is looking forward to a hat-trick with Harish Shankar (after Gabbar Singh and DJ). Saying that the music of UBS will be a treat, he praised the "brilliant lyrics" provided by Bhaskarabhatla.
Director Harish Shankar was all praise for Devi Sri Prasad. "Even after growing into one of the top music directors in the country after Pushpa, he still works as if it were his first film. Producers Naveen garu and Ravi Shankar garu provided whatever the project needed. The grandeur of this film is because of them. They remain the same whether they achieve success or face failure. That is why Mythri is the top production house in the country," the director said.
Pawan Kalyan shot for UBS without a break on some days. "He filmed it without letting us catch our breath. He would leave for Vijayawada for the cabinet meeting in the morning. We would think there might not be a shoot for two days. But he would allocate time for shooting during the night. There were days when he would be in public service all morning, take a night flight back to Hyderabad, shoot until the early hours of the morning, and then leave for Mangalagiri again. There were instances where he worked for 18 hours, and 20 hours. His effort is relentless," the Gaddalakonda Ganesh maker said.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh also features Sreeleela, Raashi Khanna, and Parthiban.
