In Baahubali: The Beginning, the scene where Prabhas' character forcibly strips the attire of Tamannaah's character in a "romantic" sequence was deemed controversial by many. A journalist wrote an article calling it the "rape of Avantika".
Tamannaah, in an interview, firmly rejected the interpretation of the controversial scene involving her character. She explicitly stated, "I don't think it was the rape of Avantika. It was Avantika finding herself through a young man who was wooing her." She explained that the scene was about Avantika's self-discovery and rediscovering her lost femininity and vulnerability after having built emotional walls as a warrior.
Tamannaah Bhatia's most recent Telugu release is Odela 2. The Summer release flopped at the box office. She will be seen in Baahubali: The Epic on October 31. The film combines the two Baahubali movies into one. She has reportedly been approached for Ragini MMS 3. The film will have erotic scenes, going by the first three Ragini MMS movies.
