Ustaad Bhagat Singh: Rs 3 crores couldn't entice Malla Reddy

Former Telangana Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy has talked about why he rejected the antagonist's role in Pawan Kalyan's 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh'. Director Harish Shankar's offer was not to his liking for a specific reason.

Although Harish Shankar promised a fee of Rs 3 crore as remuneration, Malla Reddy was least interested because he didn't want to take beatings from the hero in the second half. "All villains end up getting beaten up by the hero in the second hour," he commented.

In 2023, the political leader and educationalist said that he will be bankrolling a bevy of Telangana movies in the coming years. He didn't elaborate on his precise plan. From his words, it appeared that Malla Reddy will be setting up a dedicated team of content heads, executive producers and technicians since his plan is to make about 3-4 films each year. They will be low-budget or medium-budget movies. Malla Reddy enjoys watching movies, especially commercial entertainers. As an entrepreneur, he has been planning to see if he can test his luck on the production front.
