Media reports suggest a strong rumor that Prabhas has agreed to team up with dance choreographer Prem Rakshit for his directorial debut. Prem Rakshit, known for choreographing the iconic 'Naatu Naatu' song from RRR, is reportedly set to make his debut as a director with Prabhas in the lead role. Prem is already working with Prabhas, having choreographed a song in Prabhas's upcoming film, The Raja Saab.
Prabhas has made quite a few surprising choices after Baahubali. Sujeeth (Saaho), Radhakrishna Kumar (Radhe Shyam), Om Raut (Adipurush) and Maruthi are all unexpected. But the choice of Prem Rakshit is a shocker.
Prabhas's track record with non-surprising choices has been good. Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD and Prashanth Neel's Salaar were big. Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit is another promising film. Even Hanu Raghavapudi's Fauzi is expected to be a strong narrative.
Prabhas awaits the release of The Raja Saab on 9 January 2026.
