Nithiin seems to be up for his career's most violent and bold movie in the form of Thammudu. Slated to be released in theatres on July 4, the film has received its CBFC certification.

The news is that producer Dil Raju has courageously opted for 'A' certificate. A source says that he didn't want to water down director Venu Sriram's vision by submitting to suggested cuts. "The producer wants the audience to experience a new form of content in Thammudu. He didn't want U/A. He wanted a clean A," the source adds.

The film, co-starring Laya, Baby Deetya, Sapthami Gowda, Varsha Bollamma and others, has Saurabh Sachdeva as the main antagonist. Ajaneesh B Loknath has composed the music. The first song, Bhuu Antuu Bhuutam, has clocked more than four million views. The second song, Jai Bhagalaamukhii, was released recently.

Thammudu is produced on Sri Venkateswara Creations. Its budget is Rs 75 Cr, with Rs 35 Cr going into the production-related costs.
