The team behind the upcoming film Thammudu is brimming with confidence as they prepare for its release on July 4th. Speaking at today's trailer event, the team shed light on what went into making their product.

Speaking on the occasion, actor Nithiin greeted the crowds and said, "Our film will speak for itself on July 4th. Venu Sriram, the Captain of the Ship, worked really hard. Since shooting schedules involved forest-based scenes, it was physically demanding. Swasika looks innocent in real life but she has a fearsome part in the film. I thank Ajaneesh Loknath for the wonderful BGM. My career started with Dil in 2002. Its budget was over and above the standard budget for that era. On a single song, Dil Raju garu spent Rs 50-60 lakh. The film was a big blockbuster. Srinivasa Kalyanam was our second collaboration, which was okay. But it was a good film. Thammudu is the most expensive film in my career. Dil Raju garu has spent a great deal keeping full faith in the subject."

Producer Dil Raju said, "Thammudu is our immediate film after a blockbuster like Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Visually and aurally, Venu has executed a superb film. Vakeel Saab, my previous film with Venu, was released four years ago. Thammudu has no similarities with any film. This will be seen as a novel film that will be taken as a reference by others. While there is a brother-sister element, the content goes beyond. Laya alone could have played Nithiin's sister. I am happy that she is making a comeback with Thammudu. Sapthami Gowda was chosen because of Kantara. Both Nithiin and the director volunteered to give up on remuneration. They will be given remuneration after the movie becomes a hit. As a producer, I am glad. I thank them on this occasion. Venu has spent four years on Thammudu. This July 4th, Thammudu will be talked about for the quality of its content."

Director Venu Sriram said that he was waiting for everyone's feedback on the trailer. "This is a 100% commercial movie. I usually don't talk about my movies in public. I didn't do it when MCA was made and when Vakeel Saab was made. My sister, my wife, my mother and my daughter are special to me. When there are so many special women in my life, why can't my movies have strong women? All my movies so far have had strong female characters," the director said.

Actress Laya said, "I was away from the camera for 20 years. It feels emotional to be back. My look and appearance in Thammudu is all because of the director's efforts. I am treating Thammudu as my debut movie. Nithiin is a pleasant person to work with. I thank my husband and my kids for their support over the last two years."

Sapthami Gowda said, "I am debuting in Telugu with this movie. I was the first one to be cast for Thammudu. Ratna is my character's name."
