Niharika Konidela made a key announcement in the new year. Raakaasaa is the title of her next film, made official through an eerie announcement poster. Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika headline the movie.
The fantasy-comedy is produced by Pink Elephant Pictures and Z Studios. It will release in theatres worldwide on April 3. The film is also produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal.
The ensemble lineup includes Vennela Kishore (to be seen in many titles this year), Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Pokiri fame Ashish Vidyardhi, and Jabardasth comedian Getup Srinu. The film also stars Sukwinder Singh, Annapurnamma, Anoop Singh Takur, Ramana Bhargav, Amrutham fame Vasu Inturi, Jabardasth Rohini, and Master Rohan from #90’s (web series).
The team recently completed a major action schedule. The sequences were choreographed by Vijay, who gained attention for his work in They Call Him OG. After this phase, the focus shifted to comedy scenes and key story moments that enhance the film’s humour. Most of the shoot is now complete. Only one song and about four days of talkie portions remain.
Pink Elephant Pictures and Z Studios have worked with music director Anudeep Dev, cinematographer Raju Edurolu, and editor Anwar Ali. Ramanjaneyulu and Pulla Vishnu Vardhan are the production designer and art director, respectively. Sandhya Sabbavarapu is the costume designer.
Raakaasaa is billed as an atmospheric thriller.
