Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi is slated to be released in theatres on January 13. Fronted by Ravi Teja, Ashika Ranganath and Dimple Hayathi, the family entertainer is directed by Kishore Tirumala of Nenu Sailaja and Chitralahari fame. In this interview, Tirumala ruminates on the film.
The story is mainly about what a husband, based on his own experiences, tells other husbands. His struggles and his lessons from those experiences are the essence of the story. The male lead gets posed a tricky question by the two female leads. The two questions are so hard to answer that they puzzle him. You have to watch the movie to know what the questions are and whether the male lead arrives at the right answer.
Contrary to what many might be presuming, it's not a typical two-timer story. The characterizations justify the circumstances they are in. There is no moral certitude in the actions/decisions of the main characters.
The tricky questions posed by the heroines are delicate in nature. In reality, when an individual encounters such a situation, he would end up fighting. As a consequence, misunderstandings flare up, and some even opt for divorce. I wrote this story with the intention of creating a thorough impact even in the way we question others through our anger. The audience will definitely be surprised.
The story of BMW was developed only with Ravi Teja sir in mind. He prioritized this project after the script was ready. Ravi Teja sir enjoyed the character a lot. He adapted himself to Ram Satyanarayana exactly the way I had written it. He told me, “Don’t be confused at all—whatever you want to do, I will do exactly that.” When you watch it on screen, Ravi Teja sir will look very fresh. I also took some of the inputs he gave regarding this film.
I take adequate time in writing the script. I need to be convinced that my story is fresh and unique. If it's not an original situation, I can't convince my hero about its worth. I need to be sorted at the scripting stage itself.
I have always wanted to make an out-and-out entertainer, and it has come together wonderfully, just the way we intended. There is an excellent cast with actors like Satya, Vennela Kishore, Muralidhar Goud, Sunil, and many others. Releasing during Sankranti with such a strong cast definitely adds to the vibe. This festival offers great scope for entertainment films. We are very happy, and we have complete confidence that the audience will also enjoy this entertainment.
I am heavily influenced by the films of Bhagyaraj, K Viswanath and Jandhyala. I am a big fan of the screenwriter Crazy Mohan.
