"Thana lakshyanni, akkani thirigi thevadaniki ee thammudu is on a mission! Watch Thammudu on Netflix, out 1 August in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada (sic)," Netflix wrote announcing the OTT date of Thammudu.
Thammudu, starring Nithiin in the lead, is directed by Venu Sriram. Netflix will stream the movie from August 1.
Co-starring Laya, Sapthami Gowda, Swaswika, Varsha Bollamma and Baby Deetya, Thammudu was produced by Dil Raju and Shirish of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Ajaneesh Loknath, KV Guhan, and GM Sekhar are its music director, cinematographer, and production designer, respectively.
The story of Thammudu revolves around Jay (Nithiin), a professional archer, who carries the guilt of a past mistake that led to the estrangement from his sister, Jhansi Kiranmayee (Laya). Jhansi, now an upright government officer, is investigating a devastating factory explosion in Vizag caused by the powerful and corrupt industrialist Azarwal (Saurabh Sachdeva). Azarwal is pressuring officials to manipulate the report to cover up his culpability. The film turns into a survival action drama.
