In Telusu Kada, Siddhu Jonnalagadda is playing a two-timer who is in a relationship with two women at once. The attractiveness of his characterization will depend heavily on how believable the writing is. Usually, Telugu cinema fails to produce relatable characters. Because the writers here are attuned to commercializing everything. In fact, commercialization doesn't capture the entire pathology of poor writing in Tollywood. Most Telugu writers, in the name of making lead characters "entertaining", strip them of any trace of reality and everydayness.
Telusu Kada will work if Siddhu's character embodies the thinking of today's youngsters. Even in DJ Tillu, the lead man's language was not totally bonkers. His reactions to the strange things happening in his life were grounded in reality, although the acting and dialogues were cinematized. The element of ordinariness is what made Tillu a character to reckon with.
Telusu Kada promises "two times the fun, two times the chaos, and an infinite loop of love." This romantic film is set for a worldwide release on October 17th, arriving "early this Diwali" to add to the festive celebrations. The film, directed by Neeraja Kona, is led by Srinidhi Shetty and Raashi Khanna as the female leads.
