Worst endings in history: Netizens pick Game Of Thrones, Lost and others

The TV series culture was pioneered in the West. Many great shows have emanated from this unique long-form format. Among them is Game Of Thrones, which sadly had a lousy last season. Here are some of the views of netizens about the worst endings in the history of television. Some viewers also pick Lost and Squid Game, giving their reasons as well.

Game of Thrones was a cultural juggernaut. Every week the whole internet watched together, it was endlessly quoted, children were named after the characters, and no one brings it up anymore because the last season was so awful.

Game of Thrones had the worst ending. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they did absolutely nothing about Jon Snow's revelation of being Aegon Targaryen.

People talk about GoT but How I Meet Your Mother deserves it more. The former's decay was building across multiple seasons before collapsing into a horrible ending. The latter managed to kill its reputation and relevance in the last minutes of the ending. Unprecedented to this day.

I didn't like how Squid Game ended. The ending was so far away from what the show was to start with. Big Bang Theory was another series that should have ended after five seasons, but it dragged on far too long.

Lost was the worst. Without any contest. They started with a cool idea and premise but had no idea how to finish it. Wasted years watching that show. It was so bad it changed how TV shows get commissioned so you have to know what you are ending up with.

No show has tripped at the finish line more than American Horror Story. Consistently great setups through the first few episodes of each season, only for most to crash and burn in a corny mess at the end of each season.
