A social media post, which embedded a video clip of Pakistani actresses in interviews, has gone viral in India. The original post, written by a Pakistani woman, called them "incredibly beautiful. Here is what Netizens have said about the post.
"Seems Pakistan has a formal code for women: simple aesthetics plus a lot of smiling. None of the smugness, tattoos, gloom, peacocking and piercings like we get here in India. Very strange to see. To be honest, like it's the 80s," Mr. Melancholy commented.
But the fact is that the Pakistani film industry is exclusive. "Not a single representation of any Balochi, Sindhi, or even Punjabi girl. Most of these actresses are from Karachi, raised abroad, and all have pale skin which clearly doesn't reflect the average woman in Pakistan. But yeah, since they are fair-skinned, they are considered beautiful."
"These actresses just look okay. If they can just remove the dramatic vibes and slide on to the chill vibes side, then they could be a whole lot more attractive," a comment says.
