D/o Prasad Rao: Kanabadutaledu, as the title indicates, is about a missing daughter and her bond with an emotional, restless, traumatized father. The series will make its debut on ZEE5 on October 31.

Headlined by Rajeev Kanakala (in the titular character), this one has prominent TV presenter-turned-actress Udaya Bhanu performing a primary part. Vasanthika, who has lately been a sought-after name in the streaming space, has another prominent role in this suspense-laden emotional thriller drama. While being nail-biting, the show also underlines the importance of "raw human emotions".
Speaking about the series, Rajeev Kanakala has hinted at an "unbreakable bond between a father and his daughter" as the essential dramatic highlight of the show. Saying that its themes are universal and speak to every family man, he added that he could relate to many emotions in it as a dad himself in real life.
Udaya Bhanu was fascinated by the script's ability to make the viewer question the characters and guess what will happen next. As a mother to female children in real life, she was thoroughly hooked to the screenplay both as a human as well as an artist.
Anuradha Gudur, Business Head, Telugu ZEE5, described the show as a powerful one that hinges on the intensity of human emotions. "It captures the raw intensity of a father’s love, his determination, and the unspoken fears that every family can relate to, while weaving it into a suspenseful narrative that keeps you at the edge of your seat," she says.
D/o Prasad Rao: Kanabadutaledu follows successful ZEE5 releases such as Viraatapalem: PC Meena Reporting and Mothevari Love Story in recent months. Rajeev Kanakala was recently seen in the box-office hit Little Hearts. Game Changer and Chaurya Paatam are among his other recent movie releases.
