Vaa Vaathiyaar is an action-comedy starring Karthi in the lead. They are calling it Annagaru Vostaru in Telugu.
The film, in which Karthi will be seen as a cop with a movie star link as per his grandfather's character, is slated to hit the cinemas in December. The Telugu version's release date will be finalized soon.
Producer KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green is estimated to have spent a bomb on the movie. Nalan Kumarasamy is wielding the megaphone. Krithi Shetty is the female lead. The film co-stars Sathyaraj, Madhur Mittal, Anandaraj, Raj Kiran, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran and others. Santhosh Narayanan (music), George C. Williams (cinematography), Vetre Krishnan (editing) and others have worked on Annagaru Vostaru.
Sardar 2 and Marshal are among actor Karthi's upcoming movies. He was seen in a cameo in the climax of HIT 3: The Third Case, recently. The Sathyam Sundaram actor also appeared in the Ponniyin Selvan movies directed by Mani Ratnam. Annagaru Vostaru meets the "A hero’s arrival… with a storm of adventure!" theme.
