8 Vasantalu Trailer: Heroine is crying half the time

If you watch the trailer of 8 Vasantalu without familiarizing yourself with the production house behind it, you would believe that the film has been made on a shoestring budget by someone with no appetite for risk-taking. But the shocker is that the film, which seems to be an endless composition of dull frames, has been produced by the one banner that is currently working with the maximum number of Telugu superstars: Mythri Movie Makers. The banner must have acquired the film after it was made or entered into a deal halfway into its production journey.

The obvious dullness aside, the trailer has its female lead (Ananthika Sanilkumar of MAD fame) sobbing half the time. The overtly emotional and heart-broken damsel in distress apparently went through so much in recent years. She channels her agony to learn martial arts. So, she gets to break hearts as well as bones.

Writer-director Phanindra Narsetti seems to have stuffed the film with poignant lines and emotionally weighty portions about love being just a phase not a purpose.

8 Vasantalu, whose music is by Hesham Abdul Wahab, will head to theatres on June 20. It clashes with Kuberaa at the box-office.
