Niharika Konidela-produced Committee Kurrollu was released on August 9 last year. The acclaimed commercial hit, in May this year, secured two Gaddar Telangana Film Awards in two categories: the Best Feature Film on National Integration, Communal Harmony, and Social Uplift of Depressed Classes; and Best Debut Director (Yadhu Vamsi).
And now, the acclaimed movie has made it at the SIIMA Awards 2025. Committee Kurrollu has won two awards there. Niharika Konidela has been awarded Best Debut Producer. And Sandeep Saroj secured the Best Debut Actor Award.
The recognition for Niharika is richly deserving. She backed a semi-risky project and didn't bother about casting star attractions. She trusted her director's bold vision. On the commercial front, she recovered a little less than three times her investment. While Committee Kurrollu cost her Rs 9 Cr, she made Rs 24 Cr.
The film features Sandeep Saroj, Trinadh Varma, P Sai Kumar, Goparaju Ramana, Raadhya, Prasad Behara, Manikanta Parasu, Lokesh Kumar Parimi, and Yaswanth Pendyala. Anudeep Dev is its music director. Pink Elephant Pictures and Sri Radha Damodar Studios produced the movie. Padmaja Konidela and Jayalakshmi Adapaka presented it.
