David Reddy, set in the British-India era, commences its shoot. Manchu Manoj features in the titular role in this period-based action drama narrative. Speaking at the launch of a video glimpse today, the team asserted that the pan-Indian movie's content will be so beyond expectations that it will be 100 times better than the glimpse. The bike the hero uses is named 'War Dog', while the words 'Death Note' are plastered on his hand. The patriotic fervour of the hero is ignited by the burning down of several villages by the British.

Stunt choreographer Supreme Sundar said that Manoj's movies have always featured distinctive action segments. He is confident that David Reddy will go down as a "powerful" movie.

Producer Venkat Reddy's friend, Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti, is wielding the megaphone. Ravi Basrur of KGF and Salaar fame is on board to compose the music. Along with Sundar, Basrur will be "taking David Reddy to the next level". On his part, the composer promised even better content in the film. From the characterization of Manoj's titular character, it is evident that Basrur is going to have a field day.

Producer Bharat Motukuri revealed that the titular character, after experiencing immense emotional wounds, channels his anger against the colonialists.

Hanuma Reddy is happy that some of the busiest technicians came on board despite their other commitments only because they loved the story. The protagonist is situated in history but his is not a real-life character. He is a completely fictional character whose legendary status matches that of Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh.

Manoj revealed that the story is set between 1897 and 1922. He cited the producers' massive investments. "David Reddy considers not only the British but even Indians as his enemies. He believes in the power of force," the actor revealed. "When I did supporting and villain roles, fans supported me immensely and put me on a pedestal. David Reddy will show how it would be if one man stood up to face certain brutal incidents and atrocities that never came out in history," he added.

Co-starring Maria Ryaboshapka, R. Parthiban, and Kanchana, the film's cinematography and editing are by Acharya Venu and Ujwal Kulkarni, respectively. Ravi Jakkula and Haindhavi Sudha are the art director and costumer, respectively.
