The first look poster of Natural Star Nani from The Paradise hasn't gone down well with a section of the audience. They feel that Nani's attempts to acquire a mass-hero image continue to be unsuccessful.
He tried his best to moderate mass-ism in Saripodha Sanivaaram with character-based heroic elevations. But Dasara was not. Its genuinely inspired mass moments were very few. The best moments in the film were already seen in its teaser/trailer.
With The Paradise, Nani seems to be going all out! As Jadal, a tribal leader with the image of a gangster, he appears to be playing his career's most violent role. The first look doesn't quite do justice to the incessant hype. Director Srikanth Odela turned into a hype bro right from the start.
"No matter how much Nani tries, what serves him the best are movies like Jersey, Bhale Bhala Mogadivoy, and Ninnu Kori," a Twitter user wrote. One can also add movies like Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha and Hi Nanna to this.
