Pawan Kalyan's OG took sensational openings at the worldwide box office on Day 1. As per DVV Entertainment's official figure, it made Rs 154 Cr in Gross.
This is three crores higher than what the makers of Rajinikanth's Coolie cited as the worldwide Day 1 gross of their movie.
OG is by far the biggest sensation in Power Star's career. Rs 154 Cr came on the back of total domination at the domestic box office. The audience in the Telugu States have taken to the movie despite ticket rate hikes. And, in North America, the premieres and Day 1 gave about $3.7 million. The overall overseas figure stands at about $5 million.
The worldwide day one gross of OG is higher than that of other biggies like Thalapathy Vijay's Leo, Prabhas' Adipurush and Salaar, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan, and Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. Sujeeth's previous movie, Saaho, grossed Rs 126 Cr worldwide. For him, OG is a huge jump.
