Draupathi 2 is the title of a historical action drama directed by Mohan G. This one stars actor Richard Rishi in the leading role. It will be released in Telugu and Tamil in December of this year.
The makers are happy that the entire shoot is over. "We began our production journey in Mumbai and have concluded it in Ariyallur. This is going to be a visually grand spectacle," the makers said.
Director Mohan G is particularly grateful to producer Chola Shakkarvarthi. "Despite being a new producer, he has gone out of his way to let me mount Draupathi 2 on a huge scale. His understanding of the art of cinema is admirable. With this film, we are living up to the best standards of contemporary cinema," the filmmaker said.
Chola Shakkarvathi, who has primarily been an entrepreneur, is aware of the very complex nature of the entertainment sector. He is glad that the production journey of Draupathi 2 was completed before its deadline. He thanked his team for their "unconditional support".
The reign of the Hoysala emperor Veera Vallalar III and the valour of the Kadavarayas of Sendhamangalam will be explored by the script. The very premise has complexity embedded in it, much like the fictionalized historical movies, Ponniyin Selvan I and Ponniyin Selvan II. Rakshana, Natti Natraj, Y. G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Barani, among others, are playing different roles.
