Nandamuri Balakrishna on Monday visited the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Mumbai in his capacity as the Chairman of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute. On the occasion, the NSE officials extended a rare honor by inviting the actor-politician to ring the ceremonial bell at the exchange. Thereby, the Bhagavanth Kesari and Daaku Maharaj actor became the first-ever South Indian film personality to ring the bell at NSE.

CEO Dr. K. Krishnaiah and CFO Shri Alwar Narayanan were present on the occasion. "Shri Balakrishna Garu became the first South Indian actor to be honored with this privilege—a moment that stands as a symbol of pride, not just for him personally, but for all Telugu people. This historic day will remain a milestone in the journey of our hospital, inspiring us to continue serving society with excellence, compassion, and commitment," Basavatarakam Institute mentioned.

After Akhanda 2, Balakrishna will be doing a film under the direction of his Veera Simha Reddy maker, Gopichand Malineni. Boyapati-directed Akhanda 2 is gearing up for a fresh release date.
