Dhandoraa is about life, death and the chaos in between. The village-based comedy-drama, seemingly a philosophical take on life and the inevitability of one's roots, is scheduled to hit the cinemas on December 25th. Its Teaser was released today.
The teaser takes off on a romantic note, with a young male trying to steal a kiss from his love interest, only to be warned against imposing himself against her wishes. As the teaser progresses, a set of colourful characters are introduced one after another. Shivaji plays a reckless middle-aged man who is confrontational in his attitude. Navdeep plays a Sarpanch from a dominant social background. Nandu and Mounika Reddy share screen space, while Bindu Madhavi plays a sex worker who sees nothing immoral in her way of life. Radhya and Aditi Bhavaraju are part of the cast.
As per the team behind Dhandoraa, the film is a sincere attempt at critiquing the caste system. "Every artist received the best opportunity to do this film," Shivaji said. Ravikrishna and Manika Chikkala play roles alongside the likes of Muralidhar Goud.
Debutant director Murali Kanth said that each of the performers put in their best effort. Producer Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni said that Dhandoraa will be as effective as the teaser. Mark K Robin is the music director. Bindu Madhavi said that every character in the movie is so important.
