Santhana Prapthirasthu will be released in the Telugu States on 300 screens this Friday (November 14th). In the US, the film is releasing in nearly 200 locations through People Media Factory. The film's pre-release event was held on Monday.

Chief guest and Waltair Veerayya director Bobby Kolli said that Santhana Prapthirasthu deals with a sensitive subject. He appreciated director Sanjeev Reddy for biding his time for as long as six years just to make this movie. "Chandini is why I attended this event today. She has grown from strength to strength since her short-film days. Her commitment and choices are awesome. Her character in Daaku Maharaj had to be trimmed to accommodate other elements in the story. He was completely happy with it. Despite a leg tear during the climax shoot, she filmed for her portions without saying no. She is a rowdy fellow offscreen. As for the lead man, Vikranth, he is going to make it for sure! I wish producers Sreedhar garu and Hari Prasad garu. I hope their wait is worth it," Bobby Kolli added.

Director Sailesh Kolanu of HIT franchise fame said, "Taboo issues have to be dealt with in an entertaining way. The casting of this film is interesting. I also liked the trailer. The content seems to be kickass! India is perhaps the only country where childbirth becomes a matter of compulsion; couples are not allowed to breathe and they stress out because of societal pressure. I want to tell youngsters to go for it only when they are ready. Don't opt for pregnancy just because others expect you to. I hope success finds Vikranth. Chandini is building up a beautiful filmography."

Director Sandeep Raj of Colour Photo said that most filmmakers shy away from sensitive subjects. "If the execution is right, success can be huge. The trailer of Santhana Prapthirasthu is very good," the Colour Photo director said.

Actor Vikranth Reddy spoke of his IT sector background and touched upon a few setbacks and self-doubts in his career. Even though his companies turned-over a couple of hundred crores, he was intent on becoming an actor. He did stage-acting for six months and gained confidence. After the failure of his debut movie, he accidentally ran into Madhura Sreedhar at a cafe in Hyderabad. "I told him that I don't want to do template movies. I wanted to create a social impact through my movie. This is when he pitched Santhana... When Sanjeev narrated the story to me, I was sold on it. It is an emotional ride that will give the audience the right message. I had to put on eight kilos, wear glasses. By the end of it all, I was Chaitanya, my character. Chandini is a talent, working with whom has been a learning experience," the budding actor said, appreciating the film's writing department, too. In his speech, he mentioned character artists, particularly Tharun Bhascker. Sunil Kashyap's music (songs) came in for appreciation.

Producer Niri Hariprasad expressed confidence in the movie's success. Incidentally, the other producer, the hero and him all come from the IT background. "We wanted a movie that lives up to the proverb, pitta konchem kootha ganam," he added.

Producer Madhura Sreedhar said, "This is a sincere film that will entertain. If the audience like our movie, it will surely go places. My special thanks to Vikranth. Vicky Donor moved from one production house to another for seven years. It faced multiple rejections. Similarly, this bold subject faced rejections. I am sure Vikranth will be the Ayushman Khurrana of Tollywood."

Lyricist Kasarla Shyam, who has written Santhana Prapthirasthu Avighnamasthu, commented that his son brings out the film's theme. Lyricist Balavardhan stated that his song, Anukundokatile Ayyindokatile, captures the essence of the story. It's rendered by comedian Vennela Kishore. Dialogue writer Kalyan Raghav said that any film acquires potency only when the audience embrace it. He suggested that Santhana.. is one such movie, waiting to be shone light on by the audience. Screenplay writer Sheikh Dawood G said that the film is not only entertaining but is also substantial.

Music director Ajay Arasada, who has done the BGM, is happy that the song Telusa Nee Kosame (his sole composition for the family entertainer) is a hit. He talked about the film's contemporariness, relevance and its vulgarity-free content.

Actor Muralidhar Goud talked about the freshness of the film's storyline. Producer Singanamala Kalyan praised producer Madhura Sreedhar Reddy's unadulterated passion. Producer Lagadapati Sridhar thoroughly enjoyed the film's early premiere recently and vouched for its entertainment value. He congratulated the team behind Santhana Prapthirasthu, particularly the producer-duo.

Writer-director BVS Ravi appreciated director Sanjeev Reddy for handling a sensitive subject with the right sensibilities. He spoke of the societal stigma of childlessness. He mainly appreciated Vikranth and Chandini, the latter for choosing meaningful movies. He hinted that Vennela Kishore's role comes with a spin.
