Varanasi will rumouredly feature Superstar Mahesh Babu in five different get-ups. The first one, that of Rudra, was seen in the film's title-reveal glimpse. He will also appear in divine avatars - as Lord Rama and Lord Shiva.
Two more looks are integral to the film's story. These might or might not be revealed in the form of promotional assets. SS Rajamouli might keep them under wraps to maintain curiosity. Since the hero's character travels the globe and traverses timeliness, it's believable that Rajamouli has conceived about five looks/characters/shades in total.
Varanasi, co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra, has music by MM Keeravani. Writer Vijayendra Prasad recently stated that a 30-minute block in the film will lay bare Mahesh Babu's 'nata vishwaroopam'. Mohan Bingi of Adipurush fame is the production designer.
Produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya, Varanasi has yet to lock its release date.
