Akkineni Nagarjuna has chosen an unconventional path for his 100th movie. Instead of opting for a native director, he has collaborated with a Tamil director.
On a talk show hosted by Jagapathi Babu, Nag has revealed that his 100th movie will be helmed by Ra Karthik, a less-known Tamil filmmaker who has previously directed a less-known Tamil movie.
While the choice of the director is unexpected, the genre is not. It is going to be an action drama made on a big scale. Nag's film is likely to see a big release in Tamil as well.
Over the past many years, Nag has repeatedly made surprising moves. Opting to work with Rahul Ravindran (Manmadhudu 2), a debutant like Kalyan Krishna (Soggade Chinni Nayana), Vijay Binni (Naa Saami Ranga), and Ahishor Solomon (Wild Dog), and a Hindi film (Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva) are among his surprise moves.
