Rishab Shetty's background is in Kannada cinema, where he is known as a multifaceted talent—an actor, director, and writer. Before his rise to stardom, though, he made do with a few low-paying jobs.

Speaking to the media, the Kantara actor has stated that, in the late 2000s, while in Mumbai, he had to work as an office boy for a production company to make ends meet. He also dabbled as a car driver for a producer.

Before finding success in the film industry, he worked various odd jobs to survive, which included selling mineral water cans, working in real estate, and hotels. His early work in the film industry included roles as a clap boy, spot boy, and Assistant Director before he took on acting roles and made his directorial debut.

Kantara: Chapter 1 is his biggest film yet in terms of budget and pre-release business. To be released in theatres on October 2nd, the mythological action drama co-stars Rukmini Vasanth. Rishab Shetty is its hero, director and writer. If the film enters the Rs 300 Cr club, his stature will hit the stratosphere.
