After Mirai, David Reddy is a potential hit for Manchu Manoj

Manchu Manoj feels that Mirai is the starting point of a new innings in his career. He recently thanked director Karthik Ghttamneni for giving him the hope that he could be back in the game.

After Mirai, the next big opportunity for Manoj is opening in the form of David Reddy, a period-based film set during the British colonial era. Its story takes place between 1897 and 1922. Events that happened in the Madras Presidency and other regions have been fictionalized through the protagonist, who is himself a fictional character. Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti is wielding the megaphone.

If David Reddy is a larger-than-life narrative with unexpected elements (like, if it is not a typical nationalist drama where David Reddy rages against the British), Manoj has a potential winner on his hands. Besides this movie, Manoj is also part of Attharu Sayibu, an "out-and-out comedy entertainer".
